Molde is a city and coastal town on the western side of Norway, situated on the Norwegian Sea. Due to the area's rugged topography, land access to the rest of the country is challenging, with maritime transport being heavily relied upon. The municipality is situated on the Romsdal peninsula, surrounded by the islands and fjords of Fannefjord and Moldefjord. The city is located on the northern shore of the Romsdalsfjord.
