Arrival at Rome airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time. At 6:00 pm meet the tour leader at the reception.

DAY 2 - SATURDAY:

Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour with tickets included to the most suggestive and imposing monument of antiquity, the Colosseum, one of the seven wonders of the world. Next, we will visit the archaeological area of ​​the Roman Forum, a symbol of the Italian capital that shows us and teaches us the mastery of the building constructions during the Roman Empire.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION: Tivoli and its magnificent villas: Hadrian's Villa and Villa D'Este

In the afternoon, we can take a half-day tour of the city of Tivoli. Walking through the ruins of Hadrian's Villa, from the Roman era, with its temples, theatres and statues, and inside the romantic Villa d'Este, from the Renaissance, with its waterfalls, pools and fountains in the garden, will be an unforgettable experience. At the end of the tour, we return to Rome.

Breakfast and departure to Campania region. Transfer to Pompeii and guided tour of the archaeological remains buried under lava during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79, along with Herculaneum, Stabia and Oplonti. After the visit, lunch where we will have the opportunity to taste the famous Neapolitan pizza. In the afternoon, transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and boat excursion to Positano and Amalfi from Naples. Arrival and visit of Amalfi, the splendid town that gives its name to the entire coast and famous for having been one of the ancient maritime republics, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Cathedral of St. Andrew and the Paper Museum during your free time. Continue to Positano, the pearl of the Amalfi Coast, with its unique atmosphere, between picturesque alleys, small shops and colorful ceramics. Capture the magic of the place with a postcard photo from the sea before concluding your day of exploration. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel in Naples.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the port to set sail for Capri, the most famous island of the Campanian archipelago. Located opposite the Sorrento Peninsula in the Gulf of Naples, Capri is undoubtedly the most famous island of all, often used in film or advertising campaigns. It has enchanted and seduced emperors, artists and celebrities for centuries and continues to do so by attracting thousands of tourists every year. Sunshine almost all year round, visiting the island of Capri offers access to places that will take your breath away: secret coves, lively alleys, cliffs and mountains with spectacular views. During the visit, stop for lunch in one of the typical restaurants on the island. In the afternoon return to the hotel in Naples and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Puglia. Before reaching Bari, stop to visit the Castle of Monte Andria, a place of secrets and magic, an ancient 13th century building built by Frederick II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, as well as one of the greatest symbolic sites of Puglia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then transfer and accommodation at the hotel.

Bari Vecchia is a place where time seems to stand still in its simplicity and authenticity. Walking through the narrow streets of this district, you can breathe the air of history, tradition and customs passed down from generation to generation. After breakfast, we set off for Polignano a Mare, a wonderful medieval town perched on a high, rugged coast. We stroll to discover the narrow streets of the village, between white houses and terraces overlooking the sea that offer a unique and unforgettable panorama. We continue towards Monopoli, known as the city of a hundred districts. We stroll through its charming old town with the wonderful baroque cathedral and its seafront promenade. Return to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Alberobello with its monumental trulli village dating back to the mid-16th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique architecture and historical importance. In the afternoon we continue to Locorotondo, which attracts its visitors with the white colour that seems to envelop everything, with the colour of the flowers and plants that protrude from the balconies of the houses. Locorotondo, despite being so small, attracts attention with the harmony of each of its parts, with the intimacy and grace it expresses: a city of light, all white, which dominates the valley from which it rises. Finally, transfer to the hotel in Lecce.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the day discovering Lecce, the Baroque capital of southern Italy. A cultural and historical centre that hides ancient buildings of singular beauty, built over the centuries with the so-called “Lecce stone”. Squares, palaces, amphitheatres, sculptures carved in stone and inserted with great harmony in the urban context that, in the words of Thomas Ashe who visited it in the 18th century, is “the most beautiful city in Italy”. A visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce, with the adjacent Palace of the Celestines, the former Convent of the Celestine Fathers, where art in a magnificent triumph reaches the highest level of aesthetic expression, and the Duomo of Lecce located in the heart of its historic centre, within the square of the same name, is a must. During the excursion, lunch with typical dishes of the local cuisine. Free time and the opportunity for lovers of culture and art, who love to walk, to discover other beauties and typical places of Lecce.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Ostuni, also known as the White City for its characteristic historic center. A walk through the old town offers picturesque views of alleys, steep stairs, courtyards and small squares dominated by white houses, artisan workshops, typical restaurants and small shops. After the visit, transfer to your hotel in Bari.

A tangle of caves used as homes, winding alleys, rock churches, terraces, gardens and underground passages make the Sassi a spectacular example of an architectural complex perfectly adapted to its natural environment. Continue to Naples and overnight at the hotel.
