About the destination

Formentera is the smallest and most southern of Spain's Balearic Islands. This tiny island is one of the last remaining havens in the Mediterranean. Its main draws are its stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters and its untouched natural beauty. The island is flat and sandy, boasting magnificent, pristine beaches. There are a few areas where the land elevates to reveal breathtaking cliffs overlooking the sea. It's an ideal spot for cycling, walking, snorkeling, and sailing. Its cultural attractions include some megalithic sites, a Roman road, several watchtowers, the 18th-century chapel of Sant Francesc Xavier, and a small Ethnological museum. Most of the quaint villages and even the capital, San Francesc Xavier, maintain a rural charm. Only the town of Es Pujols is slightly more tourist-oriented. If you're looking to experience Spain as it once was, then a visit to Formentera is a must.
