After a hearty breakfast at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, you will embark on an excursion to the stunning Ourika Valley, located just 45 km from Marrakech. This valley, sculpted by the torrential waters that descend from the Oukaïmeden, is a fertile region, adorned with picturesque Berber villages built of adobe, clinging to the mountainsides. These villages, known as "chameleon villages", seem to change colour with the surroundings, blending in with the surrounding land and creating a unique landscape.

During the tour of the valley, you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional mill, which still works with the power of the river water. Here, the miller continues to transform the grain into flour at the same price as in the 17th century, charging a tithe, i.e. 10% of the flour obtained. This is a true journey back in time that will allow you to understand rural life in Morocco.

In addition, the excursion includes a stop at an authentic Berber house, where you will be welcomed with hospitality to enjoy a traditional breakfast of tea, fresh bread, honey and butter, giving you an immersion in the local culture. After this enriching experience, you will return to Marrakech where you will have the afternoon free to explore the city at your own pace or rest.
